The Purple Goods Store is motivated primarily by two things:

In concept the idea comes from Acts 16:14 - "One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul."

The Lord uses the color purple over 50 times in His Word. He has placed a significant importance on this color as a designation of His kingship. We see the color purple as our team color. We, like Lydia of Thyatira, are worshipers of God and unashamedly so.

(Don't worry. We know people really like their black and white t-shirts. We've got some of that too.)

Of greatest importance, we want to see people know the risen Christ as their savior. We want to share how we haven't just received a get-out-of-jail-free card, but true freedom and joy that lives eternally in Him, and outside of our own circumstances. We want to see conversations had, disciples made and lives changed forever. All of our products' messages revolve around this desire.

Jesus teaches us in Matthew 12:36 "I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak..." We don't believe He was speaking only to our audible words. Let us not forget 1 Corinthian 10:31 "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
